The Midland Homeless Coalition, in partnership with Breaking Bread Kitchen, will host the Warm Hearts Project during National Homelessness and Hunger Week on November 21. The event will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 pm at Breaking Bread Kitchen, 410 E Florida Ave. The initiative is to provide winter clothing, meals, and support to Midland’s homeless population and families that face financial hardship.
“Everyone deserves warmth and comfort, regardless of their circumstances,” said Shirley Almanza, Executive Director of Breaking Bread Kitchen and Committee Chair of the Midland Homeless Coalition. “The Warm Hearts Project is our way of showing compassion and ensuring no one in our community is left vulnerable during the harsh winter months.”
The Warm Hearts Project brings together community members and local agencies to address the needs of vulnerable neighbors during the cold winter months. Donations and resources focus on providing relief and dignity for individuals in need.

The Midland Homeless Coalition encourages the community to contribute by donating winter clothing, blankets, and meal box items. Financial contributions are also welcomed, and volunteers are invited to assist with distribution and outreach efforts.
