Midland - Eliacer "Simon" Polanco Alvarado, 53, of Midland, TX, passed away on July 30, 2024, after bravely battling cancer. Born on October 16, 1970, in Ojinaga, Mulato, to Adan and Guadalupe Alvarado, Eliacer was remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

A man of faith, Eliacer was known for his love of God and his compassionate nature. He cherished spending time with his family, particularly enjoying grilling, gardening, and caring for his farm animals, especially horses. An enthusiast of Charreria, the national sport of Mexico, Eliacer also found fulfillment working as a truck driver at Oil Tech and cherished the fellowship of his loved ones.

Survived by his beloved wife, Romelia, and children Eliacer Jr. Alvarado, Myra Hernandez, Carlos Alvarado, Amanda Alvardo, stepdaughter Britney Armendariz, and his cherished grandchildren, Eliacer is also mourned by his sisters Veronica Urquidez, Guadalupe Alvarado, brothers Jesus Ruben Alvarado, and Adan Alvarado.

Preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Eliacer is remembered for his enduring faith and the love he shared with his family and friends.

A viewing will take place on Thursday, August 1st, with a prayer service in the evening. The funeral service is scheduled for Friday, August 2nd, to be followed by burial at Serenity Memorial Gardens.

Flowers may be sent or a tree planted in memory of Eliacer "Simon" Polanco Alvarado via the floral store.
