Gwendolyn Lorenz, age 72, of Midland, Texas, passed away on June 26, 2024. Born on February 2, 1952, in Dallas, Texas, to Eldon and Judy Reams, she dedicated 26 years to the insurance industry and received recognition for her outstanding commitment. She and her husband, Jim, served as house parents at the South-Central Christian Children’s Home, demonstrating care and guidance for children in need.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home, with services taking place on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the Westside Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Gwen is survived by her husband, Jim, children Lori, Aaron, Suezanna, grandchildren Garrett Johnson, Joshua Settle, Caleb Settle, great-grandchildren Elle Settle, Raiden Settle, Lila Settle, Collins Settle, siblings Roger Reams, Dean Reams, Glenna Reams, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Fred Hill.

The family extends their gratitude to Hospice, hospital staff, and the Westside Church of Christ. Memorial donations can be made to New Mexico Christian Children’s Home, Meals on Wheels of Midland, or Home of Recovery and Restoration in Winnsboro, Texas.
