During the 2025 State of Midland Luncheon held on April 2, Mayor Lori Blong introduced "Vision Midland," an interactive platform designed to showcase key initiatives, projects, and developments within the city. This marks the first time the tool has been made publicly available.

Vision Midland highlights the city’s strategic vision, providing residents, stakeholders, and visitors with a comprehensive overview of Midland’s growth, innovation, and commitment to community enhancement. The platform serves as a roadmap for the city’s future and outlines efforts to drive economic development, improve quality of life, and create a sustainable and vibrant community.

“It reflects where we are heading as a city and what we believe Midland can become,” Blong said during the luncheon. “This is the kind of interactive communication that we are pushing for. We want you to know what is happening in your community and we want you to feel a part of it. The future is bright for Midland and this vision helps guide the way.”

Blong emphasized that while Vision Midland outlines the city's direction, realizing its full potential will require community involvement and leadership.

“Vision Midland also reflects the groundwork that we are guiding and the direction we’re heading,” she said. “But we know that building a great city takes more than just vision on paper—it takes people willing to lead and invest and shape that vision into a reality.”
