Midland, TX - Betty Forsberg, 75, of Midland, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at her residence. Born on October 5, 1948, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to the late Anna Marie (Billet) and Martin Herman Tjaden, Betty graduated from Lennox High School, pursued further education at Sioux Falls College and NDSU, earning a B.S. in Music.

On July 3, 1975, Betty married Curtis Forsberg, and they were blessed with two daughters, Jody and Kristi. Over her career, Betty held various administrative roles, utilizing her skills in clerical work, assistance for the City of Midland, and transcription tasks for Midland Police detectives.

Passionate about music and singing, Betty actively participated as a church organist, choir member, and contributed her talents to the MOSC Symphony Chorale. She enjoyed journaling, studying Judaica, and traveling in the RV with her family, cherishing moments with her grandchildren.

Survived by her husband Curtis Forsberg, daughters Jody Ormsby, Kristi Forsberg, grandchildren, and extended family, Betty will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Tjaden, Betty's legacy of love and music will be remembered fondly.

Visitation for Betty Forsberg will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 6-8 PM at Ellis Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 10 AM at Ellis Funeral Home, followed by interment at Resthaven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Southwest Parkinson’s Society or Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
