Midland High School’s homecoming week culminated in the crowning of a homecoming queen during halftime of the Bulldogs game.

"Your 2024 MHS Homecoming Queen is Kaelyn Salinas! And Congrats to the first ever Life Skills Homecoming Queen Sarah Bruehl," the district said in a Facebook post. "This year's court was introduced during halftime of tonight's game! Go Bulldogs! #oyb #madeinmisd."

According to MaxPreps, the game on the field wasn’t much of a contest for the Bulldogs as they easily defeated the El Paso Montwood Rams 69-13. Quarterback Stroman Bridges rushed for 136 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries while slotback Jordan McGowan rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown. The Bulldogs ran the ball for a total of 536 rushing yards, marking the sixth consecutive game that they’ve tallied at least 173 rushing yards dating back to last season.
