Midland College recently announced that its participation in the Tall City Invitational raised $500 for Alumni Scholarships. This achievement highlights the support and enthusiasm of the Midland College Alumni and Former Students Association in promoting educational opportunities for current and future students.

The Tall City Invitational, held on September 7, brought the Midland community together to support a local business. The funds raised will benefit Alumni Scholarships, providing financial assistance to deserving students at Midland College.

Building on this success, Midland College invites the community to its next event – the Lone Star Sanctuary for Animals "Ooky Spooky 5k and 1 Mile," scheduled for October 12 on the Midland College campus. The MC Alumni Network will engage alumni, students, and local residents in a Halloween-themed run/walk to support homeless cats and dogs in Midland.

“We are grateful for the incredible support we received at the Tall City Invitational, which demonstrates the strength and generosity of our local community,” said Katherine Prementine, Alumni Relations Coordinator at Midland College. “As we look forward to the Ooky Spooky 5k, we are excited to continue this tradition of community engagement and fundraising. This event will be a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow alumni, learn more about Midland College, and support our scholarship fund.”

Participants of the Ooky Spooky 5k are encouraged to dress themselves and their pets in Halloween costumes for a festive experience.
