The Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center (PAC) is hosting a volunteer usher recruitment event on August 17 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The session will take place at the venue at 1301 FM 1788 on a satellite campus of the University of Texas of the Permian Basin (UTPB).
According to an August 10 Facebook post by the PAC, participants will learn what is expected of volunteer ushers and the role they play, understand how to become a volunteer usher, hear from current volunteer ushers, as well as get a tour of the facility. Light refreshments will be provided.
Interested individuals can access a registration form at https://wagnernoel.info/WNPACVolunteer0817.
According to the document, teamwork, a positive attitude, kindness and patience, dependability, and respect go a long way when it comes to serving as a volunteer.
Those who fill out the application are asked to provide a Google email to save their progress.
Touting itself as the "shining star of West Texas," the PAC opened to the public in 2011 with a mission to provide quality live entertainment to the Permian Basin.
It is an ASM Global managed facility and a partnership between the communities of Midland, Odessa, and UTPB, according to the theater’s website.
