The Midland Chamber of Commerce will host its annual State of Education luncheon on Aug. 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bush Convention Center. This event will feature a panel discussion with leaders from the region's institutions of higher education.

The panel includes:

Adrian Carrasco, an education advocate, board member of the Midland Chamber of Commerce, and elected Trustee for Midland College, will moderate the discussion.

This year’s luncheon will focus on the connections between higher education and workforce development in Midland and beyond. Topics will include enhancing career pathways, advancing technologies, and addressing emerging industry needs.

“Aligning our education systems with workforce needs is essential for the growth and success of our business community,” said Evan Thomas, President and CEO of the Midland Chamber of Commerce. “The State of Education luncheon provides valuable opportunities to engage with leaders who shape our educational landscape and discuss strategies to tackle the unique challenges and opportunities of our region.”
