A ministry based in Midland that provides food assistance and support in the Permian Basin will develop a new campus.

According to an architectural barrier filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Stacy Baccus, executive director and co-founder of Mission Agape of West Texas, will construct Mission Agape located at 4415 Thomason Drive. The $2.5 million, 8,600 square-foot project is expected to include buildings to accommodate offices and warehouse space.

The project is tentatively expected to break ground on Aug. 1 and wrap up by Oct. 1, 2025, according to the filing. The local design firm NC Sturgeon, LP is on board for the project.

According to Mission Agape's website, the faith-based organization was established in 2012 to help families in the Midland area with food. The non-profit organization holds several events throughout the year to solicit donations from the community.
