Aschten Aguilar, who has a role in Landman, said that taking risks is crucial, as he had a surreal experience standing next to a major rider on set while dealing with cold weather, but he is now reconnecting with crew members on Instagram and looking forward to future opportunities. Aguilar was a guest on a recent episode of the Best of Midland Podcast.
"My biggest thing is, don't be afraid to take risks," said Aguilar on a recent edition of the Best of Midland Podcast. "Because one of the biggest riders on that show was standing right next to me getting coffee, and I couldn't say anything because it just felt too surreal. It was also very cold, and I was just focused on trying to heat up, clench too tight. I was like, I want to play this song, and it’s one of those things that you try to navigate through. When opportunities approach themselves, you have to take that risk and just do it.”
“Luckily enough, I'm getting a chance to go back, and after the show concluded for me, a bunch of the crew, not the cast but the DPs and stuff, followed me on Instagram,” Aguilar said.
Aguila will be on Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming show, Landman, which stars Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Hamm, and Demi Moore. He has a background in the oil fields and a passion for music.
