The Midland Police Department (MPD) is investigating a fatal accident along Farm-to-Market (FM) Road 1788 that claimed the life of an Odessa man on June 27.
According to a press release issued by the city of Midland, the incident occurred in the 1500 block of FM 1788 shortly after 5:30 p.m.
The release stated that a motorist from the Rio Grande Valley was traveling northbound in a pickup truck when he veered into the southbound lane and collided with another pickup in the southbound lane.
The decedent was identified by authorities as 48-year-old Jeramy Jones.
Permian Basin stations KMID News and KPEJ News reported that while the crash is under investigation, no other details have been released.
