The Midland Independent School District (MISD) is represented by three schools on the Educational Results Partnership’s (ERP) Honor Roll. The campuses – Early College High School at Midland College (ECHS), Carver Center, and the Young Women's Leadership Academy (YWLA) – have been included on the prestigious list.

According to a June 27 press release issued by the Permian Basin public school district, ECHS earned recognition as a "STAR" campus while Carver and YWLA secured "Scholar" campus honors.

ECHS achieved STAR status for succeeding in closing achievement gaps among higher-poverty and historically disadvantaged student populations.

Carver and YWLA were named "Scholar" campuses for demonstrating outstanding academic achievements and a commitment to providing an excellent education.

ECHS Principal Blanca Golson said in the release that her school considers the recognition an honor.

Carver Executive Director Stephanie Carnett and YWLA Principal Laura Doughty both expressed pride and gratitude for their respective campuses’ latest achievement.

The release stated that the ERP Honor Roll is in its ninth year and takes into consideration results on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) from 2019 through 2023.
