MIDLAND, TEXAS -- Residents can stay informed about emergencies and important community news by signing up for the Emergency Alert Program, Alert Midland. This Everbridge system enables the City of Midland to quickly disseminate critical information in various situations, such as severe weather, infrastructure disruptions, unexpected road closures, missing persons, and building or neighborhood evacuations.
The reverse 911 system is expected to alert residents down to specific neighborhoods or streets. Those who sign up will receive time-sensitive messages through their preferred channels, including home, mobile, or business phones, email, text messages, and more.
