The Midland Independent School District (MISD) hosted a beauty queen as it wound down the current academic year. MISD’s special guest was Ellie Breaux, the reigning Miss Texas.
According to a May 22 Facebook post by the Permian Basin school district, Breaux paid a visit to three of its campuses.
During each visit, Breaux talked about the importance of literacy and education with audiences of excited students.
Breaux’s LinkedIn profile states she earned a bachelor's degree in marketing with a focus on fashion design from the University of North Texas (UNT).
She worked as a model for Varsity, Terry Costa, and Sherri Hill in addition to Colaluca Marketing Services as a part-time field marketing specialist, according to LinkedIn.
According to CBS News, she entered the beauty pageant circuit while still a student at UNT.
She was initially crowned Miss Keller and Miss Tarrant County before securing the 2024 Miss Texas title and ultimately finishing second in the Miss America pageant.
