"We invite students from MISD to come on campus on a Friday in the spring and really just promote science awareness," said Michael Dixon, Vice President of Instruction at Midland College, in an interview with NewsWest 9.

As stated in his LinkedIn profile, Dixon has been associated with Midland College for 26 years. He began his journey as the Chair of the Mathematics Department and an instructor in the fall of 1997. He has held his current position since July 2023.

Jordan Eager, a student volunteer at Midland College, expressed her group's enthusiasm for the event to NewsWest 9. "My group, they're excited for the respiration in the Health Science Department," she said. "As sixth graders, they really were paying attention a lot. And I remember my attention span in sixth grade was not as long as theirs, but they really liked all the hands-on and like the explaining of the teachers."
