Rebels beat 21 teams for Bobby Dunn Memorial Golf Tournament title

The Midland Legacy boys’ golf team kicked off the spring season with a big win at the Bobby Dunn Memorial Tournament, beating out 21 other teams for the meet title.

The Rebels won with a score of 297 and a +34 overall. Andrew was second with a 309 and +46, and Canyon Randall was third with a 310 and a +16.

Senior Drew Ironside was a medal winner for the Rebels. He shot a 70 in round one, and was -1 through nine holes in the second round.

Senior Kellen Young shot a 69 to lead the way in the opening round. He then shot a +7 in round two.

In the first round, senior Jake Humble and junior Zavyan Alvarado each shot 79, and sophomore Shawn Martinez had a score of 80. Humble shot +5 in round two, while Martinez was +6 and Alvarado was +7.
