Mrs. America 2023 Regina Stock | Ector County ISD/Facebook

Current Mrs. America winner and Midland resident Regina Stock has been diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma, a form of cancer affecting her left kidney. The City of Odessa announced the news on its Facebook page and has set up a GoFundMe page to support Stock and her family during this difficult time.

According to the social media post, Stock and her husband will be out of work for an extended period as they will need to travel for treatment and recovery. The unexpected challenge has put a financial strain on the family, which is why the GoFundMe page has been created to accept donations.

Stock's health problems were initially discovered when she presented to physicians with concerns. A mass was found on her left kidney, but she shared some positive news with her supporters in a Facebook Reel, saying, "the good news is that it looks like it hasn't spread anywhere."

The city of Odessa emphasized the urgency of Stock's situation, stating that she requires immediate surgery to remove the cancerous mass and kidney to prevent the prognosis from worsening. Stock and her husband, who have a blended family of four children and are self-employed, will need support during this challenging journey.

The Mrs. America pageant organization has also appealed for support for Stock, calling on all potentially current, current, and former titleholders to come together and provide the support she needs. They aim to rally behind Regina and her family during this difficult time.

The GoFundMe page for Stock can be accessed at https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-regina-in-her-fight-against-kidney-cancer/share/instagram/select/post/a, where donations can be made to help alleviate the financial burden faced by Stock and her family.
