Endeavor Energy Resources and Select Water Solutions, Inc. recently completed a massive recycled water job in the Midland Basin. Endeavor CEO Lance Robertson commemorated the project with a speech
“Being a good steward of the environment and of our natural resources, is important to Endeavor and our affiliate companies. Select has been a great partner and shares the same view when it comes to responsibly producing oil and gas in our region,” Robertson said, according to a press release from the company. “We are particularly proud of working together to reduce our dependency on fresh water and conserve natural resources while providing reliable energy for America. This specific project sets the bar high for recycled produced water jobs in the Permian Basin, and we are honored to join forces with Select to lead the way.”
According to the press release, the project achieved recycling and delivery rates up to 300,000 barrels of water per day for a month, totaling over 8.2 million barrels of produced water that were recycled in Select Water Solutions’ Big Spring Recycling System in Howard County. The water was then transported to Endeavor’s pad site in Martin County.
The recycled water came from six sources within a 10-mile radius of Select’s Big Spring Recycling System, and the water was sustainably transported using electric pumps along an underground pipeline spanning from Howard County to Martin County.
Select Water Solutions is a provider of sustainable water and chemical solutions to the energy industry. Its chairman, president and CEO, John Schmitz stated in the press release that “sustainable recycling and transportation of produced water is an integral piece of the future of water stewardship in the Midland Basin.” He also stated that he was proud to work with Endeavor Energy Resources on this monumental project.
Endeavor Energy Resources is a privately held energy exploration and production company that operates in Midland. It employs over 1,2000 people and is the largest private oil producer in the continental United States.
