Midland tennis player Nate Jobe ranks in Boys’ 16 singles points bracket in week ending March 11

Nate Jobe of Midland finished 21,619th in the United States Tennis Association’s Boys’ 16 bracket in the week ending March 11.

They earned 56 points to finish the week with 56 single points.

There are 52 USTA players from Midland across all age categories.

Players earn points per round in tournaments, winning higher points the further into a tournament they advance.

Jarett Cascino of New York Tennis Magazine says tennis is one of the most competitive youth sports.

“There is always someone better than you on any given day, even if you are the number one player in the world!” he said.
