USTA: Joli Ardoin of Midland ranks 14,013th in Girls’ 18 singles points bracket in week ending March 18

Joli Ardoin of Midland finished 14,013th in the United States Tennis Association’s Girls’ 18 bracket in the week ending March 18.

They earned no points to finish the week with 76 single points.

Their ranking fell by 89 from the week before.

Players earn points per round in tournaments, winning higher points the further into a tournament they advance.

Jarett Cascino of New York Tennis Magazine says tennis is one of the most competitive youth sports.

“There is always someone better than you on any given day, even if you are the number one player in the world!” he said.
