Andre Perez of Midland finished 11,112th in the United States Tennis Association’s Boys’ 16 bracket in the week ending Dec. 25.

They earned no points to finish the week with 146 single points.

Their ranking fell by 71 from the week before.

Players earn points per round in tournaments, winning higher points the further into a tournament they advance.

Jarett Cascino of New York Tennis Magazine says tennis is one of the most competitive youth sports.
