Mayor Lori Blong introduced a new initiative, the Small Business Spotlight, in an April 10 Facebook post.
According to Blong, small businesses are integral to the community of Midland. The Small Business Spotlight program offers citizens the chance to highlight their favorite local enterprises. "They’re where we meet friends for coffee, grab a last-minute gift, and build relationships that last," she said.
Blong encouraged residents to visit bit.ly/Midland_SmallBiz to fill out a short form for the Small Business Spotlight. "I want to hear from you," she said. "Maybe it’s a family-owned shop you’ve loved for years, a new café doing something special, or a hardworking team that always goes the extra mile."
The mayor concluded her message by urging the public to tag friends and share the link, emphasizing the importance of supporting local entrepreneurs.
