While the impact of an arctic front that put Texas on its heels continues to linger, there are signs of recovery within the state.
The Permian Basin boasts a robust closure list for Feb. 19 although it is smaller and there is a light at the end of the tunnel for a number of entities. Coahoma, Ector County ISD, Pecos Barstow Toyah ISD will have remote learning, NewsWest9 reported. The ISD’s of Alpine, Andrews, Bynum, IDEA Travis Academy, Kermit, Midland Academy Charter School, Midland, Premier High School of Odessa, Richard Milburn Academy, Snyder ISD, St. Ann’s Catholic School and Trinity School are closed.
Midland College will open noon, Odessa College will have remote learning until Monday, Feb. 22 and UT Permian Basin is closed.
Day by Day Learning Center, Rainbow Christian Day Care and St. Luke’s Child Development Program will be closed. The City of Midland and City of Odessa will open at 10 a.m. while the Ector County office will be closed. Midland County courthouse will be closed until Monday, Feb. 22.
As far as health is concerned, Abell-Hanger Medical Pavilion will be open at 1 p.m. along with DIA Legends Building and The Breast Center. The Texas Tech Physicians clinics and TTUHSC campus operations will open at 10 a.m.
The City of Midland landfill will open at noon along with the City of Midland Citizens Collection Station. The First Basin Credit Union Odessa, Midland, Andrews, Lubbock will open at 10 a.m.
