Midland-based Ring Energy adds boards members to fill vacancies

Ring Energy, Inc. appointed John A. Crum and Richard E. Harris to its Board of Directors, the company said in a release.  

Crum and Harris joined the board as independent Directors and are replacing Stanley McCabe, co-founder of Ring Energy, Inc., and David Fowler, president of Ring Energy, Inc., who resigned their seats on the board.

Also, I would like to say how pleased we are to welcome both John Crum and Richard Harris to the Board of Directors of Ring Energy, Inc. Both have had very successful careers and have extensive management backgrounds, which will prove invaluable as our company continues to grow and develop."

Currently, the managing partner of AC Energy Partners, LLC, Crum has more than 40 years of international oil and gas development experience, the release said. In 1975, Crum began his career with Conoco and has held managing positions for several independent exploration and production companies, the release said.

He served in various executive roles for Apache Corporation from 1995 to 2011 and served as chairman, president and chief executive officer of Midstates Petroleum Company, Inc from 2011 to 2014, the release said.

Harris began his career at The National City Bank of Cleveland in 1974 and served in a wide range of roles there until 1979, the release said.

From 1981 until 1995, Harris held various IT, finance and treasury positions at BP America, Inc., the release said. In 1995, he joined Compaq Computer Corporation handling capital markets, treasury financial planning and merger and acquisition business support until 1999.

He continued at Compaq, serving as assistant treasurer until 2002. Harris joined Cummins Inc. in 2003 and served as vice president, chief investment officer and secretary of the finance committee of the board of directors until he retired in 2015.
