Midland Municipal Court employee Bezold wins prestigious state award

The City of Midland has announced that Lauren Bezold, an employee of the Midland Municipal Court, has received a Municipal Traffic Safety Initiative (MTSI) Award from the Texas Municipal Courts Education Center (TMCEC).

According to a March 10 Facebook post by the city, this year marks the fourth consecutive time Bezold has earned this accolade. The city recognized Bezold for her dedication to traffic safety. "This year, she went above and beyond by seamlessly integrating the Youth Diversion Initiative and building valuable community partnerships," the post said.

The post further noted that the Midland Municipal Court has gained statewide recognition due to Bezold’s innovative leadership and commitment. "An achievement made possible by her exceptional efforts throughout the year," it read. "This is what ‘Being the Energy’ is all about. Congratulations, Lauren!"

Recipients of the MTSI Award have demonstrated exemplary traffic safety outreach initiatives, according to TMCEC's Facebook page.
