Midland Independent School District (MISD) has surpassed the 29,000-student enrollment mark.

According to a MISD news release, the district currently enrolls 29,300 students. The district-wide surveys have received positive feedback regarding school experiences and engagement. Parents expressed appreciation for teachers' dedication to their students and the cultivation of an engaging learning environment.

The district's fall school climate survey showed improvements in campus safety, cleanliness, and respectfulness compared to previous years. Parental involvement has also increased, with an 11 percent rise in parents who believe their child's campus offers opportunities for community input to enhance the student experience, as reported in the spring survey. As part of its strategic plan, MISD prioritizes surveys to measure school climate, make improvements, and transparently report results.

"We are committed to building strong connections between our schools, students, and families," said Deputy Superintendent Roberto Cedillo. Cedillo further said that "the increase in parent satisfaction reflects the hard work of our educators and staff in fostering a welcoming and engaging school environment where every student can thrive."
