Friendship House hosts Friendship Night on the first Friday of each month from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and provides a space for adults with special needs in the Permian Basin to connect with volunteers and community members. The event includes a meal, interactive activities, a Bible study, and a craft project.
Friendship House serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by offering a structured and supportive environment that fosters social engagement, independence, and faith-based learning.
The organization provides a Monday through Friday day-program with 16-20 hours of weekly activities, including Bible studies, recreational outings, and arts and crafts. Students receive a $50 monthly credit for field trips and special events.
Volunteers assist with activities, serve meals, and support participants. Those interested in attending or volunteering can contact Executive Director Shelby Welch at friendshiphousemidland@gmail.com.
