The newest members of the Midland Independent School Board have completed their orientation and received updates on upcoming tasks for the district.

Matt Friez, Angel Hernandez, and Joshua Guinn are the newly elected board members. "Our newest Trustees joined us for Board Orientation today, and we can’t wait to see the incredible impact they’ll make in the years ahead! #misdproud," the district wrote in a Facebook post.

According to Midland County general election results, Hernandez secured the District 2 seat with 1,913 votes. Friez will represent District 4 after winning with 3,673 votes. Guinn took the District 7 seat with 3,948 votes.

In November, the Midland Times reported that outgoing board members Robert Manquez, Katie Joyner, and Bryan Murry were honored with plaques for their service during that month's board meeting.
