Midland's newest resident arrived early this morning, according to Midland Health.
"Midland Memorial Hospital would like to congratulate the Hernandez and Campa family of Midland on the birth of their new baby girl, the first child born in Midland in 2025," Midland Health wrote on X. "Keilani Avery was born at 4:42 a.m. to Hannia and Marcos, weighing 6 lbs. 15 oz and 19 ¾ inches long."
According to the hospital’s website, a gift basket arranged by Becky's Flowers will be given to the family. The basket includes items for the new baby and mother such as baby toys, a teether, pacifiers, socks, a blanket, a hat, a burp rag, a water bottle, a onesie, and a stuffed animal.
Midland Memorial Hospital noted that Hope Chest is a program sponsored by Midland Health and Midland Memorial Foundation. Nifty Knitters, Miss Cayce's, The Little Gym, and Midland Run Crew were among the local businesses that contributed items towards the gift basket.
