An area alternative school recently celebrated the graduation of its winter class at Midland Horseshoe Arena.
"Congratulations to the 2024 Texas Alternative Home School Permian Basin Graduation Winter Class. What a great Winter ceremony and class! I want to thank all of the family and friends that supported these graduates through this journey to earn their state law compliant high school diploma and official transcript with Texas Alternative Home School," Director Dr. Shawn W. Clark wrote in a Facebook post.
Clark announced that school officials will be present at the Garden Inn Hilton in Midland on January 2 at 9 a.m. to enroll and facilitate interested individuals into the admissions process. "If you are an Adult, and enroll into our Adult Program this month, you will turn in your books in February and have the opportunity to graduate in April," he said.
According to Clark, the school also offers the Project Graduation/STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) Redemption Program for seniors opting to transfer out and enroll in the program. "If you know of someone that needs our help, let’s get them transferred over and on the right track before it is too late," he said.
