Individuals interested in pursuing higher education may find scholarship opportunities beneficial.
"Planning to enroll for Midland College's Spring semester but aren't sure how you're going to pay for it? You may qualify for an MC Scholarship," Midland College (MC) said in a Facebook post. The institution added that prospective students must complete a 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and register for at least six credit hours by January 1. Recipients of the scholarship are required to maintain a 2.5 GPA as part of the scholarship conditions.
According to the MC website, scholarships are awarded based on various criteria, including academic talent, participation in activities, special interests, and financial need.
The school website further explains that scholarships are first applied toward tuition and fees, with any remaining funds available for use at the school bookstore. Students can receive both the PELL grant and scholarships during the academic semester.
