The Braden Joplin Foundation presented a $65,000 donation to Teen FLOW Youth Ministry on December 4. The donation supports the organization’s mission to “make leaders” among Midland teens.
“This is a true answer to prayer,” said Teen FLOW Executive Director Jainah Clark. “We have been in particular need of a new vehicle to support administrative needs and student transportation. On behalf of our leadership and the teens we serve, we give a big thank you to the Joplin family. It’s an honor to aid in continuing Braden Joplin’s great legacy.”
The donation will address pressing needs within Teen FLOW, including purchasing a new vehicle that will enhance the ministry’s capacity to serve teens during weekly programs.
The Braden Joplin Foundation was established in memory of Braden Joplin to honor his legacy of generosity and service. Joplin, a Robert E. Lee High School graduate, lost his life in a 2016 auto accident while volunteering for Dr. Ben Carson’s presidential campaign. The Foundation began as a scholarship program and has since expanded to host events like golf tournaments that support community initiatives.
His family continues to honor his memory through charitable acts that reflect his values of service and compassion.
Teen FLOW’s programs serve as a haven from challenges that local youth face. This includes opportunities for youth such as summer camp trips, which often provide teens their first experiences outside of Midland. The ministry relies on the support of churches, foundations, businesses, and individuals to continue its mission of shaping future leaders.
