Midland College (MC) is set for a significant week, featuring a series of events culminating in graduation ceremonies.
"Here's your Chap Roadmap for the week ahead," said MC on Facebook. "Don't forget: Fall Graduation is happening this Friday, Dec. 13, and Café Connect is on Saturday, Dec. 14. Mark your calendars!"
According to the school’s event calendar, the graduation ceremony will take place at the Chap Center at 6 p.m. The college also plans to host the Jingle Bell Jog, a one-mile run/walk scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m. on December 14 at Midland College’s Helen Greathouse parking lot. Attendees are encouraged to wear festive attire as a prize will be awarded for the best holiday-themed costume.
On December 11, a transfer specialist from the University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB) will be available at the MHAB Atrium from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to answer questions for students interested in transferring to UTPB. Café Connect will embrace the theme of "TikTok Scrapbooking" and will be held at the Jack E. Brown Building from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event explores the TikTok journaling scrapbooking trend and is open to the public for ages 12 and up, with a registration fee of $25.
