The Midland Fire Department (MFD) experienced a demanding start to December, responding to two fires and a vehicular accident.
On December 4, MFD was called to action at least twice. According to a Facebook post shared by the department at 1:30 p.m., firefighters responded shortly before 7 a.m. to a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of West County Road 173 and South County Road 1110. The post said that MFD freed one motorist, and two individuals were transported to the hospital.
Later that day, MFD attended to a dual-residential fire near East New Jersey and Marshall. The department reported on Facebook that the blaze, which was captured on video, resulted in no injuries.
