United Way of Midland will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Training and Conference Center on Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. The event will take place at 1209 W. Wall St.

The new state-of-the-art facility will serve as a hub for training programs, workshops, seminars, and community events, according to Kari Hennagin, Executive Director of United Way of Midland during an interview with Midland Times.

“This new center will provide much-needed space for collaboration, skill development, and networking,” said Hennagin through a press release. “We are thrilled to take this next step in furthering our mission to improve lives and strengthen our community.”

The project is made possible through contributions from local businesses, individuals, and foundations, along with support from the City of Midland and other partners. The facility is expected to open in Fall 2025, and will enhance United Way of Midland’s role as a resource for nonprofit training and professional development in the region.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony and celebrate the new chapter for United Way of Midland. Light refreshments will be served.
