The Midland County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) arrested a man for allegedly dealing drugs in a designated drug-free zone on November 26.
According to a Facebook post by MCSO, the Narcotics Unit was called to the 4300 block of Mercedes Drive to investigate the possible illegal activity.
A search warrant was executed, resulting in the seizure of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and marijuana. Authorities subsequently obtained an arrest warrant for 46-year-old John Hardy Burkart, who now faces multiple charges of possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone and a charge of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone.
In the post, Sheriff David Criner said MCSO is committed to protecting the community "by arresting those who prey on our citizens."
