Midland-based AST SpaceMobile, Inc. has announced its participation in an upcoming conference in New York.

According to a news release, the space-based cellular broadband network company recently participated in two conferences on November 20. AST SpaceMobile attended the Deutsche Bank 2024 Global Space Summit and the 13th Annual ROTH Technology Conference to engage with potential investors. Both events took place in New York City.

The news release further states that the company is developing a broadband space network aimed at making smartphones available for commercial and federal use. The company is scheduled to participate in the UBS Global Media & Communications Conference on December 10 in New York City.

In October, Midland Times reported that AST SpaceMobile secured a contractor contract with the Space Development Agency. This agreement will allow it to manufacture products for the Hybrid Acquisition for Proliferated Low-Earth Orbit (HALO) program, which is designed to expedite advanced space technologies used by the Department of Defense (DoD).
