The Trinity School of Midland football team emerged victorious against the Texas School for the Deaf with a score of 74-28 in their regional round game on November 22.
According to reports, the Chargers were led to victory by Jude Varner, who rushed for 251 yards on 20 carries. Lincoln Lewis contributed an additional 78 yards on four carries to Trinity’s rushing attack.
By defeating the Rangers, the Chargers advance to the semifinals of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) Division I playoffs. They are set for a rematch against Plano Coram Deo.
Trinity previously defeated Coram Deo 68-50 during district play. The upcoming matchup will take place at Abilene Christian High School on November 29 at 1 p.m.
