A new Domino's Pizza outlet is set to be constructed in the northern part of the city, with an opening planned for next summer.
The announcement was made in a November state filing with a regulatory agency. Sweet Commercial Properties LLC, led by James Gerety, will oversee the construction of the 2,160 square-foot facility.
According to the filing, the project is expected to commence by December 16 and be completed by June 20, 2025. The $1.2 million development, under the working title Dominos 8181, will be situated at 6400 North State Highway 349.
Gerety operates several Domino’s stores throughout the state with his wife Cassie Gerety. The couple has two daughters, Renee and Lyn, who assist in managing the stores.
In a profile for Domino’s, Cassie Gerety shared her journey within the company. She started as a part-time driver in 1995 and aspired to become a franchise owner as her career advanced. "I finally found a store to purchase as a minority owner in Sweetwater, Texas," she said. "I still worked as supervisor for the seven stores under Elite Team LP while proving myself as a good owner and that I could turn this store around and make a profit."
