A building in a newly opened retail center will undergo renovations for an ice cream shop, according to a filing with a state regulatory agency.

According to the November 4 filing, the Summit Center, led by the company's Project Manager Kurtis Frymire, will renovate tenant space for $375,000. The scope of work for the project involves renovating 1,300 square feet of improvements to a suite for a Kilwins Chocolate and Ice Cream Shop.

The rehabilitation project is expected to begin on December 15 and run until March 15, 2025. The design firm Orange Frog Design Group, based in Columbus, Ohio, is involved in the project.

Summit Center, LLC, led by Matt Johnson, is the owner of the retail center. Johnson also founded Summit Petroleum LLC with Dennis Johnson in April of 2007. The Summit Center is located at 3200 Mockingbird Lane in the northern portion of the city and is situated on 20 acres. This includes retail and office space surrounding a four-acre park designed for public enjoyment. Work on the retail campus began on December 10, 2021, and tenants began moving into the building in July 2023.
