A retail gas station, typically located near Walmart stores, is set to begin construction next summer, as per a state filing with a regulatory agency.
Murphy Oil USA, Inc., under the leadership of Project Manager Bassam Ziada, will develop this new gas station at an estimated cost of $1.1 million. The project will feature a 2,824 square-foot convenience store equipped with eight fueling stations, associated parking, landscaping, and utilities.
According to the filing, Murphy USA #7145 is scheduled to commence construction on July 14, 2025, with completion expected by November 21, 2025. The store will be located at the intersection of FM 158 and Abe Street. The design firm Greenberg Farrow from Somerville, New Jersey has been responsible for the architectural aspects of the development.
Ziada has served as a project manager for Murphy Oil since 2008. His LinkedIn profile indicates that he oversees the development and expansion of company stores nationwide. He previously held positions as a project manager for CEI Engineering and as a senior engineering manager for Wal-Mart.
Currently, there are four Murphy USA convenience stores within the city, according to the company's website.
