Midland ISD: ‘We invite the community to walk through the new campuses virtually’ of high schools

Midland Independent School District (MISD) will offer virtual tours of its two new high schools to the public near the end of October.

According to an MISD Facebook post, the community will have the opportunity to virtually explore the Legacy and Midland high school campuses. On October 29, a virtual tour of Midland High School’s current library will be available from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The following day, on October 30, a similar event will take place at Legacy’s campus auditorium during the same hours.

"Step inside the new Legacy High School and Midland High School campuses with a virtual experience! We invite the community to walk through the new campuses virtually. Events will take place at the existing LHS and MHS campuses, but you will be able to view the renderings of both new schools," MISD said in their Facebook post.

In September, MISD released artist renderings of these new schools, which are expected to be completed by August 2028. According to a news release from the district, each high school is designed with a core student capacity of 4,200 and an academic capacity of 3,800. This design aims to accommodate future growth while providing adequate space for educational activities and programs. The groundbreaking for these projects is scheduled for summer 2025.
