Midland College to host songwriting workshop

Area songwriters interested in refining their craft will have the opportunity to do so at an upcoming Midland College event designed to enhance participants' writing skills.

According to Midland College’s event calendar, the songwriter concert and workshop is scheduled for 7 p.m. on October 11 at the Allison Fine Arts Building Wagner and Brown Auditorium. The event will be led by English Dean Dr. William Feeler.

Midland College states that attendees will hear from noted musicians who understand the nuances of crafting songs. The event is free and open to both novice writers and those with years of experience in songwriting.

According to a flier on Midland College’s Facebook page, The Hankins, Mike Trigg, Jana Pochop, and Sloane Michael will discuss their approaches to songwriting techniques.
