Midland, TX - Caroline Ann Miller, a devoted mother to Carey Lynn Gonzalez and Sheri Rae Young, peacefully passed away on June 16, 2024, after battling Alzheimer’s disease and a severe stroke. She spent her last moments at North Point Nursing & Rehabilitation, surrounded by loved ones and the caring nurses who tended to her needs faithfully.

Born in Atwater, CA, Caroline was known for her warm and friendly personality, her infectious laughter, and her love for family. After graduating from Itazuki High School in Japan, she married Dennis Ray Hollars and raised her daughters with dedicated love. Later in life, she found love again with John David Miller, and pursued a degree in Special Needs Education from San Angelo State University. She worked diligently with special-needs students in ECISD and Region 18, leaving a lasting impact on her students.

Caroline is survived by her daughters Carey Lynn Gonzalez, Sheri Rae Young, son-in-law Jose Manuel Gonzalez, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers Michael Holcomb and Tom Holcomb, cousins, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband John David Miller, mother Caroline Nosler Holcomb, father Thomas Harry Holcomb, and son-in-law David Thomas Young.

Remembered for her kind heart and joyful spirit, Caroline will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her family honors her legacy of love and happiness she spread to everyone around her. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Ellis Funeral Home, with interment to follow privately.
