The City of Midland is hosting its inaugural Chalk the Block event on October 26. The event at Centennial Park will take place from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Children and adults are invited to “create vibrant chalk art on the sidewalks of downtown Midland,” according to Stephanie Delgado, Economic Development Program Manager for the City of Midland.
Chalk the Block is a family-friendly event to bring the community together through creativity and artistic expression. Attendees can participate in or observe live chalk art competitions. They can also enjoy activities at various booths, including by the Hispanic Cultural Center of Midland, and entertainment throughout the day.
“This is the perfect chance for local artists and enthusiasts to showcase their talent and connect with others in the Midland community,” said Delgado. Midland Times, City of Midland, Diamondback Energy, and ConocoPhillips are sponsors of the event.
