The Young Professionals of Midland (YPM) will host its Leadership Luncheon with Mayor Lori Blong slated for attendance on October 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bush Convention Center.
Diamondback Energy is sponsoring the event. According to a September 25 Facebook post by YPM, the theme of the luncheon will be about the importance of voting.
YPM members can attend the luncheon for free, while it costs $35 for non-members. The post features a QR code prospective attendees can scan to register.
Blong is a native of Midland who owns a small business and has previously served on the Midland City Council. She made history in November 2022 when she defeated former mayor Jimmy Morales in a three-way race, becoming Midland's first female mayor.
YPM is a program of the Midland Chamber that’s a service and development organization for young professionals between the ages of 21 and 40 who reside or work in Midland.
