Mayor Lori Blong attended the Midland Youth Coalition’s (MYC) monthly meeting for September as a guest speaker.
According to Blong’s September 16 Facebook post, she and the MYC discussed the role of city government "in getting back to the basics." These basics include the importance of listening before making decisions and how leaders use feedback to continue adjusting their plans.
The post said that Blong also provided Midland updates, an opportunity for which she is grateful. Blong anticipates the positive impact the MYC will continue to make on the community.
According to the MYC’s Facebook page, it consists of youth-serving organizations and youth volunteers that work together to serve the youth of the community. The MYC has been hosting meetings since March 2022.
