The Midland County Republican Party, Midland County Republican Women, Midland Hispanic Republican Association, and Midland County Young Republicans will host a forum for candidates running for the Midland Independent School District (MISD) School Board. The event is set for Sept. 23 at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center.
The forum will begin with doors opening at 6:30 p.m., and the discussion will run from 7 to 8 p.m. The event aims to provide the public with a platform to hear directly from the candidates about their plans and visions for the Midland ISD.
Candidates will receive a questionnaire before the forum to address key issues relevant to the district. Each candidate will be given the chance to make a closing statement, although there will be no opening question.
The forum is intended to aid voters in making informed choices in the upcoming election. Community members are encouraged to attend.
