On the night of August 26, the Midland Fire Department (MFD) responded to an alleged vehicular incident.

According to a Facebook post by MFD, firefighters responded to an incident involving a semi-trailer hauling cantaloupes shortly after 9 p.m. The truck was found overturned near the eastbound exit to Big Springs Street at Interstate 20 (I-20), the post said.

While MFD deemed the trailer and its produce a total loss, there were no injuries reported.

A week ago, the fire department also responded to an incident involving a semi-truck carrying produced water. According to another MFD Facebook post, the vehicle was discovered overturned on FM 1379, just north of Highway 158 East. The incident yielded no injuries.
